A sign of a good team is a team that can come from behind. That was the case Thursday night at Patriot Bank Park where the Collierville High School baseball team fell behind early, 4-0, but rallied to defeat Dyer County 8-6.

Hayden Short and Cael Allen each had a pair of hits the lead the Diamond Dragons offensively. Short tripled and also scored three times. Allen crossed the plate twice.

Junior Ian Chambers and sophomore Jack Bogenreif continued their hot start to the season with their bats. Chambers provided 2 RBI's and Bogenreif doubled.

Jack Lester was again solid out of the bullpen for Collierville. The Vol State signee threw 4 innings, allowing two hits and two runs, one earned, while striking out three. The 6'2, 200 pound right hander earned the win on the mound.

Collierville (5-1) resumes play Friday, 4pm, versus Brookland (AR).
