Dallas Berkley (2024 PG) led the Dragons with 24 points in the win, coming up with several clutch buckets down the stretch. He was supported in double figures by junior small forward Luke Roeder who finished with 12. Senior standout Elijah Lussier had 9 points and a career high 12 rebounds.
With the game tied going into the fourth quarter after a Berkley three pointer to end the third frame, the Dragons had a burst out of the 4th quarter gate. Collierville would out work Grind Prep with a 27-8 point difference in the final 8 minutes.
The Collierville defense was impressive and the off-season workouts proved to be the difference.
Next up will be a very talented Evangelical Christian School on Tuesday, November 28th, in Cordova before a highly anticipated showdown at home versus Briarcrest Christian on the 30th. Tickets are encouraged to be purchased in advance. Link below.
