The Collierville defense pitched its second shutout in back-to-back games as the Dragons went on the road and blanked Arlington 30-0 on Friday night.

Collierville moved to 4-1 on the season and Arlington fell to 2-3.

The CHS defense held Arlington to just 26 yards of total offense ( -29 rushing, 55 passing). The Dragons had 9 solo tackles for loss, including 3 sacks.

In last week's shutout win, the offensive plan was predominant air attack. This week, it was predominant ground attack. Logan Davis had a big day for Collierville receiving half of the team's carries. The senior tailback carried 10 times for 56 yards with an 18-yard touchdown run. Davis also had a pair of touchdown receptions from Aidan Glover.

Collierville recovered an on-side kick to start the game and got the offense cranked up immediately. The second half was a running clock.

The game changing play and dagger also came from a Davis. Senior linebacker Jonathan Davis forced a fumble and Tristian Euell had the scoop and score at the end of the 1st quarter.

Collierville returns to action next week, hosting Germantown at Dragon Stadium at Landers SportsPlex. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased by clicking the link below.
