The Collierville football team blanked Douglass, 57-0, to take the win in Dragon Stadium Thursday night. It marked the first shutout for the 2023 campaign. With the victory, Collierville goes to 3-1 on the season, while the Red Devils drop to 0-4.

After scoring 57 on the night, Collierville has now tallied 155 points this season with one of the most electric offenses in school history. Featuring three division 1 commits, with multiple others with offers on the table, the options are plenty for Head Coach Joe Rocconi.

Missouri commit Aidan Glover, playing in just the first half, was 12-of-14 for 221 yards. The dual threat quarterback is now just shy of the 1,000 yard mark (972 total passing yards) that tops all quarterbacks in the Memphis area. He now has a dozen passing touchdowns after connecting with junior wideout Joakim Dodson with a pair of touchdowns and his tight end, Eli Sisson, for a score. Dodson caught four passes for 188 yards and tops all wide receivers in the Memphis area with 107.3 yards per game and total receiving yards at 428 this season. Sisson will play on Saturday's next season at Liberty.

With a comfortable lead and running clock throughout the second half, the future at quarterback was showcased. Standing 6'4, 185 was junior Grant Troutman that took the majority of the repetitions. But a trio of sophomores all showed their athleticism, with Cayson Stanford, Bradley Stubbs, and Landon Parrish each scampering to find the end zone and add to the damage.

The special teams was impressive with highlight type plays throughout the night. Place kickers, Grayson Litton (3-for-3) and Hayden Hollenbeck (4-for-5) shared the point after touchdown duties.

Up next will be the Arlington Tigers and a road contest on Friday, September 15, set for 7 p.m. kickoff.
