The Collierville soccer team (4-3-1, 1-0) used a masterful second half to shut out Arlington and take a 3-0 victory in the Dragon's District opener Thursday. The win was the fourth this season and a momentum gain for next Tuesday's match versus Brighton.
Amelya Jacobs scored her 6th goal of the season in the first half from a Kerrigan Kivisto assist. Early in the second half, Lena Woodcock scored with an assist from Kaitlyn Lewis. Jacobs would then later feed Kivisto to add the final goal.
After Tuesday's match with the Cardinals, Collierville will travel to Middle Tennessee and challenge state perennial powers Station Camp and Franklin next weekend.
