The Collierville High School men's tennis team is special. Not sure if ever done before in Tennessee, but the Dragons have completely dominated the 2022 season without losing a court in district regular season play, district tournament play, region tournament play, and just yesterday - in sectional tournament play.
Collierville swept Clarksville Northwest and punched their ticket to the 2022 State Championships in Murfreesboro next week.
An early season tournament match loss to Memphis University School and a late regular season match loss at MUS are the only setbacks of the season.
The team is led by 2021 individual state champion, Ranjay Arul, and has their site on a state title as a group. The Dragons fell just shy in the championship match last year, 4-3, to Ravenwood. The first challenge will be Hendersonville, 1pm, on Tuesday at the Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro.
